This Privacy Policy explains how The Flamekeeper Grid Alliance handles information connected with use of this website.

We keep this policy intentionally plain and update it when the website's data practices change.

An account holds your name, your email address, the books on your shelf, where you are in each of them, the few settings you choose, and your letters with the Alliance. They are kept in the website's database and used only to run the site for you.

You can sign in with a password, or through Google. When you use Google, it tells the website your name and email address and nothing more is asked of it; the website holds no Google password, and you can unlink Google from your account's Settings at any time. Google's own handling of your sign-in is governed by Google's policies.

The website sends you mail only when you ask for it: a link to set a new password, if you have forgotten yours or your account has none yet. It is sent from the Alliance's own mailbox and nothing else is sent to your address.

You can delete your account yourself, from its Settings, with your password, or with a fresh Google sign-in if the account has no password. Everything it holds is deleted with it, at once. A record of what you paid (the amount, the day, what it was for, and the email given at the checkout) stays in the Alliance's bookkeeping, no longer tied to an account. Payments themselves are handled by Stripe.

Letters you write on the contact page are kept in the website's database, with your account's name, so the conversation can continue there. Only the people who answer for the Alliance read them, and nothing from them is published.

You can delete any letter you wrote at any time, and it is deleted for both sides, not hidden. Deleting your account deletes the whole conversation.

At the time of writing, we do not run a general-purpose analytics platform or advertising tracker on the public website.

The website sets a cookie to keep you signed in, and, if you choose a text size in the reader or a motion setting, one to remember each on that device. Neither is used to follow you.

If that changes materially, we will update this page to reflect it.

Some pages link to third-party platforms such as YouTube, Amazon, and other external book or media destinations. Once you leave this site, those services operate under their own privacy practices.
